We were based in NS Roosevelt Roads, PR, NAS Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and NAS Trinidad, British West Indies. I then was transferred to NAS Quonset Point, Rhode Island and AirAsDevLant which was an anti-submarine testing squadron. We developed rockets, search lights and even worked on the "yahoodi" project with a TBM. I then was transferred to VB-112 and upon wars end joined VB-114 in the NAF Lajes, Azores, Portugal and NAF Port Lyautey, Morocco. I retired from Braniff Airways after 35 years and now instruct pilots for Flight Safety Boeing. I am looking for information on Lance Murphy..."
