Subject: Invitation to VP-5 Reunion Banquet
Dear Cdr. Naylor,
This is to confirm the telephone conversation today of Mr. Nick Mulich (Reunion Coordinator), to LtCdr. Brian Conway.
In appreciation for the squadron's restoration project last fall honoring the lost LA-9 crew, the VP-5 Alumnae Association would like to present several items to the squadron to commemorate that event. The items consist of two framed photo prints (see attached) and a model of the LA-9 P2V aircraft. We hope that you will find a suitable location in the squadron facilities to display them permanently.
We extend to you an invitation to attend our VP-5 Reunion banquet and receive the commemorative items. We would also like to invite Command Master Chief Alcott to attend, and one additional squadron member of your choosing (I understand that Lt. Kelly has been transferred). The three items to be presented are not heavy but are somewhat fragile.
The Reunion banquet will be held at the Holiday Inn, 6802 Commonwealth Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32254, on Saturday, April 24, 2010, at 1830 hours. The Holiday Inn is located at the intersection of I-295 and Commonwealth Ave, which is the first exit north of the intersection of I-295 and I-10.
Please advise RSVP who the three representatives of the squadron will be so that arrangements can be made for them.
