HistoryA BIT OF HISTORY: "...VP-661, VP-662, and VP-663 were all stationed at NAS Anacostia, Washington, D.C.. VP-663 was merged with VP-661 and went active with Reserve VP squadrons from the Kansas city Area, Atlanta and someplace else. We all joined up at NAS Patuxent River, Maryland. We performed shipping surveilance up and down the east coast. We made 2 five week deployments to NAS Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. We were on active duty for 10-11 months. When we deactivated we went to Andrews AFB. The squadron became VP-68 and operated out of Andrews and NAS Patuxent River, Maryland..." Contributed by Danny Smith dsmithmm@sofnet.com [06JAN98]
