Note NOTICE: "...I would like to contact anyone who flew with Julius Raven (I believe he served with VP-41 of CPW-4) on the day he located our crew of 50 from the Submarine USS S-27 which sank off the S/E coast of Amchitka on 19 June 1942. The day I am referring to is either 24 or 25 June 1942. We had survived in the deserted Aleut village at Constantine Harbor on the N/E section of this island. I understand Raven was lost in early August 1942. I was preparing to contact his co-pilot, when I learned of his name, (Rock Bannister) but he died in 2000. Any information would be greatly appreciated...George Herold GeorgeSS132@webtv.net..." [23JUL2002]
